Top High School Boys Basketball Teams in U.S. to Play at Dallas, Memphis and Tampa Events

Austin, Texas (August 10, 2016) – FloSports announced today it will offer live and on-demand coverage of the National Hoopfest tournaments exclusively on FloHoops.com. The series of three tournaments featuring the nation’s top high school boys basketball teams will begin in Dallas on Dec. 17, 2016, continue in Memphis from January 6-7, and conclude in Tampa from January 20-21.

The National Hoopfest is one of the premier high school basketball events in the country. It has featured national powerhouses such as Oak Hill Academy, Montverde, and Findlay Prep. Also, more than 100 past National Hoopfest participants have gone on to play NCAA Division I basketball, including six future NBA draft picks.

“This is a big-time tournament pitting some of the most elite teams in the nation against each other. FloHoops is excited to add the event to our winter schedule,” FloSports SVP of Global Rights Acquisition and Subscription Phil Wendler said. “We’re thrilled to take part in elevating the profile of the event as we stream every game live and on-demand to basketball fans across the globe.”

Elite programs such as Huntington Prep (Huntington, West Virginia), Simeon Career Academy (Chicago), and reigning 6A Texas state champion Desoto (Dallas) are already locked in for the Dallas tournament. The opening game is between Sunrise Christian (Wichita, Kansas) and Grand Prairie High School (Grand Prairie, Texas).

“We are very proud that this year’s National Hoopfest events will provide some of the best teams in Dallas, Memphis and Tampa the chance to prove themselves against the top teams from across the country,” Travis Haddock, National Hoopfest Founder and CEO, said. “We are equally excited to have a best-in-class partner like FloHoops to give these programs and their kids even more exposure.”
