Mark is Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer (COO) at FloSports, where he oversees the sales operations, customer support and live production of all FloSports events. Mark started the company out of a van with his brother, Martin, and Madhu Venkatesan, and in doing so filled a need in the marketplace for a media company providing high quality live broadcasts and original content by athletes, for athletes.
An All-American track star at the University of Texas, Mark began filming and interviewing track and field athletes around the country after his graduation. In 2007, Mark found early success with content when he posted a video of the first American to break the hour barrier in the half-marathon. The video became viral and kick-started the journey that resulted in FloSports becoming one of the premier sports media outlets.
Outside of FloSports, Mark is on the board of TeXchange, a company promoting entrepreneurship for technology and life sciences startups in Texas. He is an award-winning athlete originally from Chicago, and now lives with his wife, Zaza, in Austin, where he dominates multiple local recreation basketball leagues. He is also an avid supporter of Chicago sports teams.
