Partnership Brings Over 1,000 Professional Hockey Games To FloSports
AUSTIN, Texas (September 30, 2020) – Live sports streaming and original content innovator, FloSports, expands further into the sport of hockey with the announcement of an exclusive multi-year global distribution partnership with the ECHL. With this new partnership, FloSports will exclusively carry all ECHL games on ECHL.TV, including every regular matchup, along with the annual Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic, and Kelly Cup Playoffs on its FloHockey platform starting with the 2020-2021 season. Hockey fans will have access to over 1,000 games from the ECHL, along with original content, interviews and analysis produced by FloSports.
The ECHL is one of professional hockey’s premier minor leagues representing 26 teams in 19 states and two Canadian provinces and is a top development platform for many NHL teams. The 2020-2021 season will be the league’s 33rd year of operation. Over 670 players have advanced to the National Hockey League after playing in the ECHL, and during the 2019-20 season, the ECHL had affiliations with 25 of the 31 teams in the NHL, marking the 23rd consecutive season that the league had affiliations with at least 20 NHL teams.
FloSports continues to bolster its hockey platform and recently announced a multi-year partnership with CCHA that will see every regular and postseason event hosted by a CCHA member school streamed live and on-demand on FloHockey. The agreement covers all regular season games to include preseason, non-conference matchups and the entire CCHA postseason tournament. Along with the ECHL, FloHockey will stream up to 1,600 games annually making it one of the premier destinations for hockey fans.
