Partnership To Bring Over 100 Hours Of Additional Premier Cycling Sports Programming To FloSports
AUSTIN, Texas (March 16, 2021) – The prestigious cycling event series, Flanders Classics, will be exclusively streamed in North America by FloSports. In a wide-ranging deal announced today between Infront, a global sports events, media and production company, and FloSports, an innovator in sports streaming and original content, FloSports will have exclusive North American broadcast rights to the highly-anticipated Flanders Classics for the next four years (2021 – 2024) as well as other world class UCI WorldTour cycling events including the Amstel Gold Race, Tour de Suisse and Tour de Pologne. The deal represents significant ongoing investments by FloSports into the sport of cycling allowing for wider distribution of prestigious races to global audiences through FloSports’ award-winning digital platform. Select Flanders Classics races and other cycling events included in the Infront deal will also be exclusively streamed by FloSports in Australia. The Flanders Classics and the three UCI WorldTour races adds to FloSports cycling programming that already includes the Tour de France (exclusively in Canada only), and the UCI World Championships including Road, Cyclo-Cross, Track Cycling, BMX, Mountain Bike and Urban Cycling along with the Telenet UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup and the new UCI Cycling Esports World Championships.
Other live programming available on FloBikes include WorldTour races such as the Tour Down Under, Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix, Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne, Women’s WorldTours including La Course by Le Tour de France and Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta as well as Asian/European Tours such as the Tour of Oman, Tour de Hongrie and Paris-Tours. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the global cycling event schedule, FloBikes has experienced an incredibly successful 2020 cycling season with average event viewership up 352% over 2019 and a year-over-year subscriber growth increase of over 122%.
