AUSTIN, TX — (June 11, 2025) — It’s the U.S. versus Canada in the race for the Calder Cup with the 2025 Calder Cup Finals set to stream exclusively on AHLTV on FloHockey beginning Friday, June 13 at 8 PM ET. The best-of-seven series will see the Abbotsford Canucks take on the Charlotte Checkers, marking the thrilling conclusion to the American Hockey League’s first season on FloSports. The first game will be streamed free on the FloHockey YouTube channel with all other games presented live on AHLTV on FloHockey.
This year’s Finals are already making history. The Abbotsford Canucks with top NHL prospects – Linus Karlsson, Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Victor Mancini, Artūrs Šilovs, and Ty Mueller – clinched the franchise’s first Western Conference Championship over the Texas Stars in Game 6, giving it the chance to bring the Calder Cup back to Canada for the first time since 2018.
On the other side of the bracket, the Charlotte Checkers – AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers – will take to the ice as its NHL partner competes for The Stanley Cup, making this the first time since 2008 that an NHL team and its AHL affiliate were both in their respective Finals at the same time. They field a team featuring future NHL prospects including Justin Sourdif, Sandis Vilmanis, Ben Steeves, and Marek Alscher to help lead them to the Cup.
More than simply a means to watch games, FloHockey coverage uses a technology that combines live video streams with real-time data to provide a truly immersive experience for the user.
