FloSports To Broadcast The Tour de France™ Exclusively In Canada

Partnership adds the world’s biggest cycling event and additional races to FloBikes.com

AUSTIN, Texas — June 27, 2019 — Today, FloSports, the innovator in live digital sports and original content, announced a multiyear partnership with Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) to provide live and on-demand coverage of the Tour de France™ exclusively in Canada from 2020 to 2023 on FloBikes.com and the FloSports apps. Viewers will also have the option to hear commentary of the Tour de France™ and other select events in English or French. The partnership marks the first time in history that the Tour de France™ will be broadcast exclusively on a digital platform in Canada.

The Tour de France™ is the world’s biggest and most prestigious cycling event. The race features the top 22 cycling teams in the world as they compete for the sports highest honor over a gruelling route of more than 3,500 kilometers. An estimated 11 million spectators watch the Tour de France™ in person each year.

“We wish to provide our events the best exposure possible,” A.S.O. Managing Director Yann Le Moenner said. “This desire drives us to constantly seek the best ways to reach all our targets, including the youngest among them, and ensure long-term promotion for our events. In that sense, it is primordial for us to turn to the most innovative and promising broadcasting platforms that are able to provide, in collaboration with us, storytelling that will resonate with all our audiences. This is exactly what we seek to do with FloSports, whose unwavering commitment to cycling — via an entirely dedicated vertical — and ways of transcribing thrills that transcend sporting disciplines were decisive. Driven by the same passions, we are moving forward together.”

“It’s always an honor to work with innovative partners like A.S.O., and we are excited to bring one of the largest and most prestigious sporting events in the world to life in a way that has never been done before,” FloSports Director of Global Rights Acquisition Ryan Fenton said. “This partnership illustrates FloSports’ continued commitment and investment into the sport of cycling and creates an opportunity for the fans to receive unprecedented coverage and content around their favorite events.”

This partnership with A.S.O. also provides FloBikes subscribers access to more than 10 Grand Tour and World Tour events, including Paris-Roubaix, La Course by Le Tour de France, AMGEN Tour of California, and the Vuelta a España. The partnership will also give Canadian fans access to live coverage of the Paris Marathon on FloTrack.com.

In addition to the A.S.O. events on FloBikes, Canadian subscribers will have access to more than 300 days of live and on-demand racing, including Milano-Sanremo, the Tour of Flanders, and the Giro d’Italia.
