AUSTIN, TX (February 19, 2026) — It’s a new era for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. This week the season starts at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Florida, for what promises to be one of the most competitive and lucrative in Series history. It also marks the start of the Series under FloSports ownership.
The season opener serves as the flagship event of the Wieland Winter Nationals, bringing together the nation’s top dirt late model competitors for three nights of intense racing competition. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing will headline the weekend with a full slate of racing each night, offering compelling on-track action for drivers and fans alike.
Event Highlights:
- Thursday, Feb. 19 – Series-only racing, kicking off the official Series competition with $10,000 on the line.
- Friday, Feb. 20 – Feature racing supported by Jett Concrete Works 604 Late Models as part of the Steve Whitener Memorial program with $12,000 on the line.
- Saturday, Feb. 21 – B-Mains and a 50-lap, $5,000-to-win A-Main for the 604 Late Models, plus action from the All-Tech Raceway Crown Vics with a final $15,000 payout.
The Florida opener sets off a 58-event schedule spanning 26 premier dirt tracks across more than a dozen states. From the early-season intensity of Speedweeks to iconic events such as the Show-Me 100, Silver Dollar Nationals, Knoxville’s Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals, and the Dirt Track World Championship, the 2026 schedule delivers a national tour that blends tradition with elevated stakes and the chance for Devin Moran to repeat his title championship.
This season, the Series returns to a full, traditional season-long points format, placing renewed emphasis on consistency across the entire campaign. Adding even more drama is the new Big River Steel Bonus Program presented by ARP, a late-season showdown rewarding the top five drivers in the championship standings a $275,000 bonus pool, including $100,000 to the top performer in the closing stretch. Drivers ranked sixth through 15th will also compete for a separate bonus, ensuring heightened competition deep into the standings as the season winds toward the Dirt Track World Championship.
The new purse structure includes six-figure paydays and more than $650,000 awarded during the Speedweeks stretch, reinforcing the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing’s position as the premier national dirt late model tour.
