Live Coverage And Replays Of All Matches Available
Austin, TX (Dec. 15, 2015) – FloSports today announced it will provide live coverage and replays of the inaugural submission-only Onnit Invitational Dec. 19 exclusively on FloGrappling.com.
The event at 10th Planet Austin at the Onnit Academy includes six super fights, as well as an eight-man tourney featuring six of Texas’ top jiu-jitsu competitors and two of the top representatives from the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu team.
“FloGrappling aims to grow Brazilian jiu-jitsu worldwide, and it’s great that we’re able to achieve this by working with 10th Planet and Onnit in our backyard,” FloSports SVP of Global Rights Acquisition and Subscription, Phil Wendler said. “Some of the top BJJ competitors in the world are participating in this event, and we’re excited to add it to our lineup of live streams, which includes the fourth season of Copa Podio and the U.S. National Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship in January.”
The Onnit Invitational will feature Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI) rules, which maximizes the chance of each fight ending in submission. Top athletes on the card include Richie “Boogeyman” Martinez, an Eddie Bravo black belt, well-known catch wrestler Travis Newaza, and child prodigy Cora Sek.
Live coverage of the Onnit Invitational begins at 3 p.m. CST. Users must sign up to become FloPRO subscribers on FloGrappling.com to access the stream. Monthly and annual FloPRO subscriptions on FloGrappling are $20 and $150, respectively. Members get access to all live events and replays, original documentary content, technique videos featuring BJJ black belts and more.
“We’re excited that the Onnit Invitational will reach a global audience of BJJ fans on FloGrappling,” said Curtis Hembroff, director of jiu-jitsu at Onnit. “The lineup of fights, as well as the submission-only format is a big draw, and we’re also excited to introduce people to the new 10th Planet Austin.”
