2016 The Bowerman Award Ceremony – Dec. 16

Collegiate track & field’s most outstanding male athlete and female athlete from the 2016 season will be awarded The Bowerman in a 7 p.m. ET ceremony on Dec. 16 LIVE streamed on FloTrack.com free of charge.

This year’s award show will whittle down three female finalists and three male finalists to one Bowerman winner per gender. In contention for the women’s award are Courtney Okolo of Texas, Keturah Orji of Georgia and Raven Saunders of Mississippi. The men’s award will come down to Texas A&M’s Donavan Brazier, three-time finalist Edward Cheserek of Oregon, and Jarrion Lawson of Arkansas. WATCH LIVE

2016 FloTrack Beer Mile World Championships – Dec. 17

The third annual FloTrack Beer Mile World Championships are returning to the Austin American-Statesman on Dec. 17. Both the men’s and women’s world records were broken at the Statesman last December. Erin O’Mara will be back to defend her world record and world championship, while world record holder Corey Bellemore will make his World Championships debut against last year’s world champion, former beer mile world record holder Lewis Kent.

Six of the nine fastest men ever in the beer mile and four of the seven fastest women ever will be competing in Austin. WATCH LIVE

The Cheer Alliance Championship – Dec. 16-17

The Cheer Alliance is hosting one of the most high-profile events of the all-star season in New York City on Friday, Dec. 16, and Saturday, Dec. 17. The “all stars” of the Level 5 cheerleading world will be competing for the coveted 2016 Cheer Alliance Championship title. JOIN NOW

Cheer and Dance NYC – Dec. 17-18

All-star programs will be putting their routines to the ultimate test at the Cheer & Dance NYC Championship in downtown New York City on Dec. 17-18. Teams levels 1-5 will compete Saturday and Sunday to claim their titles as champions, and you can watch it LIVE on FloCheer! JOIN NOW

The American Championships: The American Grand – Dec. 16-17

The bright lights in Las Vegas, Nev., will shine a little brighter this weekend! Watch teams compete LIVE at The American Championships’ American Grand. With 24 bids up for grabs, who will earn theirs? The two-day event will be live on Varsity TV on Saturday and Sunday. JOIN NOW

The Dark Horse Bouldering Series, Round 3 – Dec. 17

The Dark Horse Bouldering Series has grown to become one of the largest bouldering comps in the country. The best climbers in the world have competed over the course of the last seven seasons, all vying for the elusive title of Dark Horse Champion. The third round of  The Dark Horse Bouldering Series goes down this Saturday at MetroRock Climbing Center in Everett, Mass., just outside of Boston. No. 7 Cornell @ No. 1 Oklahoma State – Dec. 16

A season ago, the Cowboys put it on Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y. This year, Rob Koll and company will look to return the favor in Stillwater. This dual will be headlined by two huge rematches. Gabe Dean and Nolan Boyd split matches a season ago, and Kyle Crutchmer edged Brian Realbuto at the Southern Scuffle last year. WATCH LIVE 

Reno Tournament of Champions – Dec. 16-18

Billed as the “toughest tournament in the USA,” the Reno Tournament of Champions will once again feature a loaded high school field with nearly 60 teams from 13 different states. The field is led by #18 Allen (TX) and #19 Choctaw (OK).

The collegiate portion of the event kicks off Sunday and will feature some starters from #1 Oklahoma State and a complete lineup from #2 Penn State.  Boise State, Cal Poly Cal State Bakersfield, Michigan State, #15 Stanford, and Wyoming round out the D1 portion of the field. WATCH LIVE

Kansas City Stampede – Dec. 16-17

In its 12th year, the Kansas City Stampede will feature 40 elite high school teams from 11 states around the country. This year’s edition boasts more than 40 reigning high school individual state champions, 28 teams that placed in the top 4 of their state tournaments, and more than 150 returning state medalists. The loaded field of teams is led by No. 13 Tuttle (OK) and No. 17 Sand Springs (OK). The individual field is led by junior world bronze medalist Daton Fix. WATCH LIVE

My HOUSE X-Calibur Tournament – Dec. 16-17

No. 15 Wyoming Seminary takes center stage as they host the 2016 My HOUSE X-Calibur Tournament at Wilkes University.  WATCH LIVE

U.S. Open (Greco & Women’s Freestyle) – Dec. 16-17

This year’s Women’s Freestyle and Greco-Roman U.S. Open tournament will take place in December separate from the Men’s Freestyle tournament. The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino will once again play host. The Top 7 finishers in both styles at all weights will qualify for the 2017 World Team Trials.

Victoria Anthony, Tamyra Mensah, Whitney Conder, Kendrick Sanders, Joe Rau, Kamal Bey and so many more will be in action. WATCH LIVE

Beast of The East – Dec. 17-18

A week after the prestigious Ironman, 7 of the nation’s top 20 teams will do battle at the equally prestigious Beast of The East. No. 1 Blair Academy, No. 7 Bethlehem Catholic, No. 8 Bergen Catholic, No. 9 Malvern Prep, No. 11 Nazareth, No. 14 Brecksville and No. 20 Massillon Perry will all be in action.

No. 5 Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia – Dec. 18

Clarion vs. Edinboro – Dec. 19

SHINE 39 – Dec. 16 

It’s Las Sicarias vs C-4 in the main event and it could change SHINE as fans know it. An eight-woman tag match headlines this show, and the loser of the pinfall will be forced to leave the promotion. If SHINE Champion Ivelisse is pinned, she’ll be forced to give up her title. Plus, Su Yung, Leva Bates, Racheal Ellering, Tessa Blanchard and more will all be appearing. ACW: Yuletide Beatings – Dec. 17 

All five ACW titles are on the line, including the ACW Heavyweight Title match between reigning champ Sean Swag and Parrow. ACW Women’s Champion Aria Blake is set to defend against Jenna. Plus, Cruiserweight Champ Johann Ramzes faces Jason Cade. The card starts at 6:30 PM CDT.  WATCH LIVE 

House of Hardcore 22 & 23, Dec. 16-17 

Broken Matt Hardy vs. Tommy Dreamer in a steel cage headlines House of Hardcore 22 from the old ECW Arena. John Hennigan takes on his Lucha Underground rival Fenix at both events, Plus, Tony Nese, Brian Cage, Sami Callihan, Kikutaro and a whole lot more will be wrestling. PR Holiday Invitational – Dec. 17

Two athletes who have a chance to break national records this year will make their indoor track debuts at the PR Holiday Invitational. Rachel McArthur will compete in the 1000m and 4x800m. Brandon McGorty will launch his season with a 1600m and 4x400m. WATCH LIVE

Galleria Games – Dec. 17

The Birmingham Crossplex has been hot with nation leading times in the first two weeks of live streamed events. Saturday should blow up the national rankings even more. Elite sprinters from Texas all the way to Florida will be facing off all day long. Noah Igbinoghene will battle Chauncy Smart in the 60m and 200m. Rising youngster Sterling Lester will try to hold off the challengers in the girls sprinting events. WATCH LIVE

Hokie Holiday Festival – Dec. 17

The Hokie Holiday Festival will be this Saturday, Dec. 17, at Virginia Tech’s Rector Field House. It will be run on Virginia’s only current active banked track that is known to be one of the fastest mondo surfaces in the nation. WATCH LIVE

MSTCA Winter Festival – Dec. 17-18

The Massachusetts indoor season gets underway with the first major invitational of the year. Live all day Saturday and Sunday featuring multiple New England champions including Brooke Lynn-Williams and Rodney Agyare-May. WATCH LIVE

This two-episode documentary features a historic program that has reached unparalleled success due largely to Russ Rose, who just ended his 38th season as head coach in Happy Valley.
